I was just riding along...

This is my first catastrophic wheel failure. Guess I've been pretty luck, considering.

I wish I had a picture of the gap. It was a sidewalk-to-sidewalk move that went over some grassy ditch. Turns out it was just a little bit bigger than it looked.

And the the conversation leading up to it went something like this:

Ben: Oh man, I might hit it if this was the beginning of the ride ... or it was light out.

Scott: What?! what do you mean? This isn't so big.

Ben: We've been riding for hours. I'm kind of tired.

Scott: Quit being such a p*ssy!

Scott's Wheel: I'll have the case-a-dilla please... WHAM!!

I'm sad to say the our first post is about losing one of the finest trails in Florida. Last weekend we drove to Reddick Fl, to ride Razorback on its closing weekend.

A true epic of a trail. I'm not sure if it was officially classified as an IMBA Epic Trail ... but it should have been. It's got everything: jumps, steeps (up and down), wide open fire road, a whole bunch of tech gnar and twisty singletrack up to your eyeballs.

What a bummer.

Well, at least the trail was in perfect condition and there were hundreds of riders there to whoop-it-up.

R.I.P Razorback :(
